We realize that summer is a busy time for families, so we do not have a requirement for practice or meet attendance; however, we encourage all swimmers to come to as many practices and meets as possible - it's the best way to see major improvement! We will also have special days throughout the season to work on technique, turns/starts, relays, and also to celebrate our swimmers' achievements with mid and end-of-the-season parties. We hope your swimmer can participate in as many of these events as possible. We will not practice on days we have a meet or on holidays. Check our Calendar or Facebook for most up-to-date info on practices, meets and events.
DUAL & COUNTY MEETS
Please see our Calendar for our current meet schedule. We typically have four dual meets (2 home meets and 2 away meets). Warm-ups usually begin at 3:00 for home meets and 3:30 for away meets. We try to start meets promptly at 4:00, but occasionally weather has other plans for us. We will make every effort to reschedule a meet cancelled due to weather.
The DCAA County Meet is normally the third weekend in July and wraps up our swim season. Ages 11-18 attend on Friday afternoon/evening and ages 10-Under come on Saturday morning/afternoon. We will have our own space so we can be together as a team. In order to participate in the County Meet, your swimmer must have competed in a completed dual meet in the events she wishes to swim at the County Meet.
